I have to say usually thrift shoppers are nice like-minded people but there seems to be an element of bullies creeping in? or is that just my local goodwill. They hover round the double doors for the new stuff coming out and you feel you wouldn't dare pick something up until the hardcore shoppers have decided if its worthy of their attention.
Sure, there are bullies in every aspect of modern life. The best way to deal with a bully is to sock him right in the nose (metaphorically-speaking, of course). Get in there, and if you see something you like, take it. Don't be shy. They won't mess with you once you let them know who they're dealing with.
In the words of Sheriff Bart from
Blazing Saddles:
"Once you establish yourself, they gots ta accept you."
