Newbie here !! Glad I found this place !! I have been happily junking since I was born. I can remember going to thrifts with my Mom. I didn't step inside a "new " store until I was 9. I had no idea we were different (poor).  My husband has the bug too !  I collect a mix of antique fabrics, and mid-century dinnerware. I do quilting, and paint .

Welcome to the forum.  Looking forward to hearing of your finds and seeing pictures of your quilts.  I love quilts and admire anyone who can make them.  They are so beautiful and have so much work in them.

Well, daisywaite--Welcome to the forum!  I love how you signed off--"eclectic junkie" Grin

You are certainly in the right place. I look forward to learning about your dinnerware collection and quilting experiences. You sound very talented and believe me, you will be right at home here with the other great talents on this board.

Happy New Year!

Thank all of you for your warm welcomes ! I have found many lovely memories connected to scrappin' and looking. It certainly never ends. Maybe that is part of the satisfaction of it ? One of my recent finds, right before Christmas, was a huge 30 pound bag of fbric from a thrift store . I asked what they wanted (DAV), and she just sort of said "oh, five dollars". Now, when I got it home, I found probably 200 different pieces and 2 feedsacks to boot ! I like that stuff ! Although you would think I have "enough" fabric, I always find something interesting in those scrap bags Smiley
Nice to meet all of you !
Happy New Year !
