Hi there, I was at the local GW last year and found a Roseville (#1108) triple candlestick in the Moss pattern. I have tried to find out something about this since then, but had no luck until recently. I Googled the description and it came up at an auction house and had recently been sold. It said it was "rare, and not seen very often" so this made me think it was probably worth more than the $2.50 I paid for it. I could not find out what it was sold for, but maybe one of you smart thrifters might have an idea?

Where abouts in AZ are you? I went to school out there and lived in Mesa and Tempe. BEST thrifting I've ever had!

Hi, I have been reading on here, but haven't writing anything . I am from San Tan Valley,AZ  was from Grand Junction IA..My husband and i sell on ebay. So we go to goodwill on 50% day and find stuff and find stuff for our kids too.. We haven't found much at our thrift store in Mesa. We don't like the stores that put stuff for auction or high price just because it is old. :-(
We enjoy thrifting every weekend.. Wish we had time ot do it everyday. With a 4 yr old and a 23 month old. We have to have grandma babysit and hait to do that too much.  lol..
Nice to read what you guys say..:-)

Check out the site Roseville-Pottery.net

They have a place to click on the left side: Obtain a Roseville Pottery Appraisal.  Maybe you can get a better value range for it there.

In general, here's some information they had posted for the Moss pattern:

Pattern:      Roseville Moss
Year Introduced:    1936
Standard Colors:    Blue, tan, pink
Typical Markings:    Die-impressed Roseville with shape number
Popularity:    Above average
Availability:    Average

Great site, thanks for posting it.  I would love to find a piece of Roseville pottery at a thrift or yard sale!
