While I'm new to this site- I  am definitely not new to thrifting.
What an amazing treasure hunt it always is!

I was hooked many years ago when I noticed the new tags still on items at the local Goodwill.

I get  many compliments on my clothes and at first didn't want to mention where I bought them. It seems now that with this current economy AND the fact that recycling is currently popular among the rich and not so rich, it is almost a badge of honor to show what great deal was found at a local thrift shop.
I am 64 years young and  delight in taking groups of girlfriends to some local Thrifts and showing them the ropes. Wink~~Jackie

I love when I can tell people that my dress was $2.99 or fabulous jacket was under $5! People can't believe it.

I have to mention a great Thrift Shop--Classy Seconds in Costa Mesa. The address is 419 E. 17th Street.
I have found many designer originals--Great buys--Great service.
The last time I went in  I mentioned to a lady that worked there that I made the mistake of parking my car a pretty far distance and I was  being bothered by the bright sun. She ran into the back and brought back a pair of sunglasses, which she gave me so I could get back to my car comfortably--Nice people!

Welcome to the site!  2 years ago I found a $1,000 suit, for $7!  The suit was in brand new condition, and exactly how I would have bought it new from the store (even the color and pattern I would have picked) and I didn't even have to get it altered.

That suit was a terrific buy!
Congratulations!
I think my greatest deal was a brand new Eddie Bauer Gortex Jacket in my size--my favorite color-(blue) and with the tags still on it--$14.00 instead of over $300.00
