It's like a big treasure hunt. So exciting. I feel like an explorer, almost. I never got that feeling at Macy's or any of the regular stores. I know what I'm going to find in those stores - expensive stuff, way over priced, some of it nice, but very pricey.

You are all so welcoming. I thank you for that!!  Im sitting here trying to get over a cold, hacking away, and trying to figure out a gameplan for tomorrow's "treasure hunt'.

Wow, you can input "thrift" into your gps and it gives you the locations?  Sweet! Technology is wonderful.

KOA has a nifty llittle feature on their site where you can put in a trip route, say going from Boston to Orlando and it will come up with a route map with all the KOAs within reasonable distance of your route.  I'd like to have something like that for thrifts because sometimes you
are driving down the highway, going by exits for various towns and you just have to wonder, is there a thrift just down the road? Well, at least, *I* do!

The day I bought a pair of shoes that were 2 sizes too big for me was the day I realized that I, too, was a thrift shop addict. But they are totally cool vintage french tanned alligator pumps (real alligator skin!) from the 50's and I had to rescue them and give them a good home!! I also found at the same shop a leather "kelly bag" purse (that I could smell the leather from afar) from Plinio Visona that was carefully stuffed with tissue paper and in excellent condition. I can just imagine a career woman in the 50's with the purse and the shoes going off to work....

Just glad to know I'm not the only addict. And as addictions go, it's not too bad (except for when you run out of room for all the treasures).

I guess that is when you sell off some of it and start again.  Jeannie
