I'm not good at introductions. Feel like I'm at an AA meeting, but here goes. I'm 28 years old and not the kind of person (at least I don't think so?) that you'd find at thrift stores, but I am constantly in them in search of things for my own collection and also to flip on eBay and my currently-under-construction eCRATER store. I'd eventually like to have an actual physical location, a store front some day.

I'd like to make some contacts here for buying, selling and trading. I am always out there finding things!

I've been hitting the thrift stores a bit more than I usually do lately, since garage sale season is over for now. Thrift stores and estate sales, but I am tired of the latter and competing with the hungry sharks who camp outside houses at 5:00AM. Recently had some crappy experiences with that!

Where on Long Island?

I grew up in Floral Park, then moved to Bayside, then Holbrook, and then Selden.  Now I'm in Phoenix, AZ.

Grew up in Elmont. Then lived in Valley Stream for 10 years, now I've lived in Shirley for the last 10 years (which blows me away). I want to eventually move to Queens or Brooklyn and get the hell out of Suffolk for good.

Well, there were some "okay" thrift stores in the Selden/Centereach area when I was there, and there may be more since the economy took a dump.

If you want to make the jump to the west, Phoenix is actually a pretty good place to live.

It's almost like Thrift Shopper overload.  You could literally spend all day everyday going from GOODWILL to GOODWILL (this is not including any other stores) - a full time job - and not hit the same store in the same week.  This is, of course, assuming you actually look in the stores, but still.
