Hi everyone,

My name is Lisa. I live in Sacramento, CA. and although Thrift Shops have been around since the dawn of time, I am just now discovering them like the dormant addict I am. I am attempting to sell on ebay - things like designer purses, silver and jewelry BUT if I find an item that calls to me- which is often - I just keep it.

I wish I could spend my days in thoses places, discovering treasures like half eaten pizzas (lol) in containers. Nice to meet you.

Welcome!   I am late to the thrifting game too, have only been doing it for about 4 years.  I think Mattie, who posts here, is from Sacramento, maybe you go to the same stores.
Anyway, hope you find lots of good stuff!

Hi Karma, thanks for the welcome! I don't get to spend ENOUGH time in thrift shops (someone should make a reality game show (Second hand chances) where participants compete for the chance to win 30 minutes searching for bargains in an empty thrift shop LOL

Hi, neighbor!  What are your favorite/least favorite stores?  I love Thrift Town (all three of them) and St. Vincent de Paul on Watt Ave.  The SPCA thrift on E Street is also good.  I am not a fan of Goodwill and you'll never catch me in Salvation Army.

We've probably crossed in the aisles somewhere!  Smiley

Hi Mattie, I'm up at 5:30 cuz im on UNEMPLOYMENT...LOL...long story, same story, boring story.

Thrift Town on El Camino is GREAT for purses. I bought a fake Gucci accidentally but I found a coach hobo bag for 6 bucks. Today at Goodwill on or near Fulton I found a sak.com bag (im keeping) a fossil bag i gave to a friend. Also, last week i found 2 Wild rose silver candlesticks i bought for 7 total and sold for 35 on ebay. Life is good (if only ihad more money)

On btw Mattie - I haven't run into any thrift stores that i don't really like yet. The hardest part of thrifting to me is battling the crowds who are always somehow magnitized to wherever I happen to be at the time. I love thrift town because they have oodles of purses - which i am starting to sell and I love Goodwill because I found lots of great sterling silver. Tongue
