Hello Fellow thrift store enthusiasts!

Until recently I had no idea a wonderful site like this existed.  I stumbled upon it, browsed the forum, and fell instantly in love!  Yay, other lovers of bargains.

I've been shopping in thrift stores all of my life (albeit, against my will until I was a teenager).  My mom is a die-hard thrifter and she has taught me well.

One of my great joys in life is finding something at a TS, wearing it proudly, and getting compliments on it from people who loath thrift stores.  Or who are merely uber-trendy and spend thousands of dollars on their wardrobes.  I modestly thank them and smile, but then jump up and down on the inside saying "you paid more for your latte than I paid for my outfit!"

Thanks for the awesome site!  Looking forward to getting to know you all.

 Kiss

Hi and welcome!   I get that same feeling at times (re: latte) and just love it! Smiley

Hi there and welcome!

(and yes, I LOVE it when folks who wouldn't thrift in a million years get enthused about something that I bought there... It's a beautiful moment!)
