Well my favorite would have to be the ATS, we have a few others nearby us that are ok.  I have this terrible problem with bowls and the Disney glasses that came from McDonalds. Other than that just a good deal.

Hi All, My name is Dottygoat. I am new to this board too. I live in Tennessee.
I want to get into thrifting but don't know where to start. When I have gone in a store in the past I get so overwhelmed that I don't know how or what to look for.

If you are shopping for clothes it can be overwhelming because many thrift stores don't size the clothing.  I don't spend much time picking through the clothing racks because I don't really enjoy doing so.  If I am looking for something in particular I will though.  I usually find things because someone left something nice at the end of a rack or sticking out of the rack & it catches my attention.

If you want to start thrfitng just think about an item you need.  If your husband needs shirts, start by looking through men's shirts.  You don't have to tackle the whole store each time you go.  Maybe just look through one section at a time.

Thank you for the information. I went to GW today and bought a pair of
brown striped pants for $2.19 And a great Gap wool jacket for myself for $7.99.
I am going back on Sunday to look for some more pants for my dd.
