Wow!  I am impressed - just found this site - I've been thrifting for a few years but have been wanting to expand my opportunities.  Going to the Bay area and Santa Cruz, Calif soon and Texas - Dallas and Austin - in September - anyone that can offer up some good thrifting sites would be MUCH appreciated!  My. latest big scores have been a vintage Agnes B jacket for $2.99, a pile of vintage aprons at 25 cents each and a couple of 1950's tray tables for a dollar for the set.  Happy to meet you all!

Welcome!  I don't know anything about thrifting in those areas, but sounds like you do well in your thrifts- aprons for 25 cents-Wow!  I love the movie Grey Gardens (original), the HBO one was pretty good.  I would like to see the Beales of Grey Gardens but whenever someone tries to put it on Youtube it gets removed, I really got to get Netflix!

I'm delighted to find a site for other thrift store lovers! I got hooked on thrift stores when I was 15. I am now 31. The coolest things I own came from thrift stores. Cheesy

Hi everyone! I am from the capital region of upstate New York and I am so excited to have found this site!
I actually heard about it on a podcast for eBay sellers.
I have been actively selling on eBay since 2003 and I love thrifting! I thrift to keep and sell (though the keep part my husband isn't happy about).

I'm 29, but I often think I should have been born in the Vaudeville era. I have a almost 2 year old daughter and a dream of mine is to travel the country in an RV and visit hundreds of thrift shops!

I love to sell new and vintage items, but the "finding" part is always my favorite, even more than the sale!

It's so good to become part of this community. I've already learned some great things, like my Domino home decorating magazines are actually worth money!

I look forward to getting to know all of you and learning a ton more!

Does anyone here like reading "Readymade" magazine? I've seen Domino but didn't realize it was worth extra, how cool. "Readymade" is really cheap on amazon.com & is a natural extension for thrifters.

I'll have to check out the readymade - sounds interesting.
As for the Domino - I am shocked! Unfortunately I only have issues from 2008 and 2009 and only about 5, but I should be able to make a few bucks. And my husband is always yelling at me for not throwing things away!
