I am a long time thrift shopper who has worked in pretty much all of the major Thrift Stores in NYC.   Salvation Army,  Goodwill,  Housing Works and Savers etc.   My hobby now is scouring the thrift stores for great deals and passing them on to others online.

My best deals so far this month have been Pucci,  Dolce Gabbanna and Yves Saint Laurent skirts from the local Salvation Army.  All for less than $5.

I also have a family relative who runs thrift stores all over NYC.  But he's overpriced to me.

But I've been selling my items on a website and donating the proceeds to a charity called the "Storefront"  which helps raise funds for Living Water.

Ok I've talked enough. Hi All!

It cool that you run an online thrift shop that benefits a charity. I admire that.
How's out directory for thrifts in NYC?

I'm jealous of your designer finds!  NYC is supposedly the best place in the world to thrift.  I am surprised to hear that you can get such great bargains though, I figured they would be higher priced.  I wish I still had some family in the city, I will have to go down on my own sometime.

Hello fellow New Yorker! *waves*  Smiley

I'm fairly new to thrift shopping. Which store locations would you recommend?
