can't wait to get out and thrift!

« on: October 26, 2007, 10:49:03 AM »

Hi - I just found this small bit of heaven.. I recently moved to a rural area of No. California, and thrifting here is still a relatively unknown way to recycle/reactivate/rejuvenate items. So I grab all the good stuff for WAY cheap. My teenagers love to go thifting with me: the girl is seriously into the 60's and 70's mod look. She's starting an outrageous boot collection! this is a great forum for those of us with our OWN style - thanks

Hi from IL!  I hope you weren't threatened by any of those fires that were out there.

not even close... that's about 10 hours away from us. wasn't that all so terrible? i have distant relative who live there. their houses were fine - they were worried about their elderly neighbors who had to leave the house without their medications. everything turned out fine for all of them. so grateful!

It's ok. The town is awful, it's where I'm from. I've been up and down the coast on thrifting road trips and there are a select few spots that blow any other thrift store out of the water on that route.
