Hi, I just found this forum today when I was browsing online.  I'm a thrift store addict!  I shop at thrift stores at least twice a week and buy most of my clothes there.

I'm looking forward to reading here and seeing what treasures other people have found at thrift stores.

Howdy, neighbor,
What stores do you like?  My faves are St. Vincent DePaul behind Macy's on Greenback and Thrift Town on Fair Oaks & Marconi.  The SPCA thrift on E & 17th is also good.  I don't care for the Goodwills around here, although I've found some interesting stuff at the one on Manzanita.  The WEAVE thrift on Fair Oaks  & Stanley is kinda pricey but the clothes are nice.

Genuineimitation is also in (or near) Sacramento.  The three of us have probably passed each other in the aisles a million times!

mattie - i've never seen your avatar in a store.. have you seen mine??? (guess we don't have service dogs!) Cheesy

and i have to agree - that thrift town on marconi ROCKS!! you know i don't do goodwill = too much perfumey disinfectant for this allergy sufferer..

and i just realized mattie - you should take the train to davis and hit the ASPCA thrift store. it's an easy walk from the station. just a block or two..

sorry, i've been away for a while or i would have stepped in to welcome Idy as well! sacramento has some pretty cool places to thrift. welcome to the site.

Northern CA is so pretty & if the thrifting is good all the better!  If I had to live somewhere besides New England is would probably be there.  When ever I think of Sacramento it reminds me of the TV show Eight is Enough that I used to watch as a kid & Gov. Arnold, of course.
