Hi! I just discovered this site a few weeks ago and LOVE it!! I have been thrifting since I was child! My husband and I consider it our hobby. Everywhere we travel, we look for thrift stores!
We have even been to a few in Hawaii!  Smiley
I am currently on the lookout for Vintage clothes, 1950's and up and I also collect white pitchers, although that collection is starting to get out of hand! LOL
Anyway, it is great to find other people interested in thrifting too!

I would like to see a picture of your pitcher collection, I love a big grouping of white ceramic/pottery pieces.  I passed up a little chicken/rooster pitcher the other day it looked just like this one but all white no gold & marked USA.  http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Pink-Shawnee-Pottery-Chick-Chicken-Bird-Pitcher_W0QQitemZ390049053479QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5ad0bc3b27&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50
I think it was only a buck & undamaged but I didn't know where I'd put it so I left it for someone else.

I'll have to take a picture of all of them. I started collecting them about 12 or so years ago. Not sure how many I have. But I always try to find them without any decor or color on them. I do have a couple that have a decal or something on one side. But its fun just looking around for them.
The little chick is very cute! I don't have anything like that!

Welcome to the board.

I was in Ohio and Kentucky last year for a class and a week of volunteer work and found many prize things in the Ohio stores.

I went thrifting while on vacation in Ohio two years ago. I walked into a Cleveland area Goodwill at 5pm (right before closing) and found 12 pieces of Shawnee Corn King. There were cups/saucers, dinner and luncheon plates. It  ended up being several hundred dollars in Shawnee, and I got it all for $8. I haven't found ANY since then, but I was and still am happy with that find! Ohio is an amazing state especially for early american pottery as it was all made locally and still can be found there.
