Sometime lurker, first time poster!  I hope that's not TOO horrible, LOL!

I'm guilty of collecting naked Barbie and Disney dolls...just to clean and comb their hair, can you believe that?  It's a great stress reducer!  I have about 200 after going to an estate sale and finding 30 pristines for a dollar each...and went from there.  Grin   Maybe one day I'll have the courage to find a nice swimsuit pattern to put on all of them and either give them back to a charity shop or just give them to the local children's hospital.

I'm also a firm believer in "trimming down" or getting rid of what you don't need...problem is, I still have a little trouble with letting go of some items...   Tongue

Well, that's all for the moment!  Enjoy! Smiley

My wife's friend in the 1960's used to make Barbie clothes and sell them in a small shop in San Francisco.
That would be cool of you to make a bunch of swim suits in different colors and donate them.

Welcome!

Thank you! Cheesy

I'd say either Gates BBQ or Fiorella's Jack Stack...They're basically (to me the cheap and expensive ends of the BBQ spectrum, but both are just plain awesome!

My only problem with sewing is I can't operate a machine very well, lol.  But that's a cool tidbit you told me!  Cheesy

Thanks for replying!

Hello -- how cool is that!  My father used to make clothes for our Barbie dolls (he's a semster (?) or tailor?) anyway, he can sew!!  Also my mom used to knit clothes for our Barbies.  I wonder if you could pick up some handmade clothes at the thrift stores!  Good luck and hello.

I'm from Northeast Tennessee and just love GW and SA and garage sales, etc.  Glad I found this forum.  I so enjoy reading what everyone is posting.

Hi, Nana!  Thanks for replying!

I have two from I think Simplicity that has about six patterns each...they're slightly complex and I'm afraid I'll mess them up. But eventually I'll just have to go for it!  Cheesy  Worse case there's always bandannas!
