hello
i just found this site and i find it to be a great resource.  i live in belfast but i grew up in cincinnati ohio. everytime i come back to cincinnati i always have a really difficult time finding good thrift shops.  i am into analog photography and love to collect old and strange cameras but its always hit and miss with the shops that i find.  i was wondering if anyone knew of any good thrift shops in the cincinnati area that would be good places to find old cameras.
also, years ago i remember going to a huge thrift shop somewhere in northern kentucky and i dont remember what it was called or where exactly it was.  it had everything you could imagine, from bric-a-brac to clothes to jewelry.  does this ring a bell to anyone. it also had specials on different colored tags if the helps.

HI there!  My name is Jeannie and I live in Northern KY, right across the river from downtown Cincinnati.  I think the thrift shop you are talking about is called Village Discount Outlet.  It used to be located in Cincinnati but moved a few years back to the Newport Shopping Center.  Everything has a label on it with one of 4 colors.  Every week, a different color is marked dow to half price, joining the color that was marked down the previous week.  So every week, 2 color labels are on sale.  Monday is 50 cent day, where everything with one color label  is $.50.  Color changes on Thursday.
They have a little of everything and I see cameras from time to time.  But like any ts, you can never be sure of what you will find.  It has gret prices on books though.
Do you still live in Cincinnati or just come back to visit?

Hi Jeannie, are you anywhere near Sturgis?
The only Sturgis I know of is in S. Dakota, where there is a big motorcycle every year.  Where is Sturgis KY?
