Hi there,
Just introducing myself to the forum.

I am an employee at a Savers locally and I LOVE IT!
We see the most amazing things while working there.  I am so into my job lol.

I have been looking around online for tips on how to find the best things in thrift shops so I can pick out the good items at the store I work at. We have one of the largest ones in the country.

Happy to be here and a pleasure to meet all of you =)

Hi, you'll love this site, it rocks. Where in the country do you live? You're the 2nd person in 2 days now who has written in that they work at Savers & love it! That makes me think well of the store as a business, it's a good sign if people like their jobs there. Makes me feel good about shopping there. We have 2 Savers in Anchorage, but I haven't been shopping at them since they were Value Village. If I have that part right, Savers used to be Value Village, right? One reason I don't go to them so much is a large part of what I like to thrift is books, & Savers, or Value Village charges a lot for books compared to "cheaper" thrift stores. Like at Sally paperbacks are .50 each, & at another local Catholic thrift they are .35 each or 3 for a $1.00. Also the location compared to where I live & travel within Anchorage, the Savers aren't in my "regular routes", but I would like to make a special trip & check them out. One of them is right next to a Salvation Army, in a good shopping district, so that's a plus. I do have a wooden rocking chair that I got at a Value Village several years ago that I love. I donated some clothing & received a discount, so if they still do that, that's a cool thing to do for their business. They are quite trendy with teens here....Anyway, welcome!

From one newbie to another:  WELCOME!
Where do I find a Savers?  I am in Connecticut and since I never heard of this store I am guessing you are far away from me!
