Hi there everyone!
Really glad to be here! Awesome forum!

I was really glad to find it! I'm jonesing for a fix.....anyone else miss yard sales as much as I do in the winter? Undecided

I have been thrifting since high school, for clothes, household items, books, everything! I even worked for about a year at one of the larger thrift store chains, loved it, and miss it all the time!

I have just recently started thrifting to re-sell and to fuel my collection addictions!

I collect dishes (of course) really starting to get into restaurant ware, suitcases, Nancy Drew books (wanna trade?) and many other pieces of interesting 'junk'

Looking forward to some interesting chit-chat!

Welcome to the board!  I look forward to hearing about what the Western Canadian thrifts have to offer!  I desperately miss yard sales and church rummage sales here in New England in the winter.  There are no good cheap auctions or indoor flea markets near me.   Sometimes thrifts here are good in the weeks following Christmas because people donate unwanted presents, but then it usually dries up.  I also love to buy old dishes and suitcases.  I can't keep them all so I sell some of them.  I should make a Flickr page of all the suitcases I have found, I actually get quite a few around here.
