We're in Reno again this year and there are some great books to be found in the local thrift stores.  I've found several new books by popular authors that can be picked up for around $3-4 each, much less than the price at the new book store.

I was thrilled to get these brand new books!  Now I don't have to wait until they come out in paperback and someone has donated them.  I got to read them the same year as the copyright!

We buy losts of books too at thrifts, but I rarely pay more than $2 for any book, unless it's a really really good find.

I usually don't pay more than a couple of bucks for books either.  There are a couple of thrift stores here in Reno that are a little more expensive; but I still look around in them since they have so much stuff and I may stumble across something wonderful.  When they have a sale then the prices are great.

I have noticed that a lot of thrift stores have gone up on the prices of books.  But others are still at 50 cents for paperback and $1 for hardcover.  Rarely though do I find brand new hardcover books there.
