I know you guys will in all likelihood NOT be able to show up and search for those elusive pieces at our community garage sale, but I'm putting it up here anyway, in the very slim chance that someone in the Phoenix area may see it (lurkers and whatnot).

There will plenty of great swag for everyone.  I'm selling a bunch of great condition spare audio equipment (I REALLY have to cut down on the collection and the collecting).

Anyway, it's tomorrow morning (Saturday, October 4) starting at 7:00 am, at N 67th Ave and W Happy Valley Rd in Peoria, AZ.

I may even set up my DJ gear and spin tunes from the 1960's and 1970's to get people in the mood.  I'll have to see how I feel.

I hope it goes well.  Wish us luck; we need groceries.

(It's not that bad, but every little bit helps)

Community sales are the best!

Don't forget to post your sale on www.craigslist.com - we check "garage sales" listings on there every weekend!!!

Good luck with your sale!  I hope you're up for playing the music - sounds like fun!

Big Daddy, Blessings on your sale tomorrow. From what I understand, October 4 may prove to be one of the BEST thrift days of the year, so you may make LOTS of money!  Please be sure to tell us ALL about it.

It went okay - we sold a vintage girl's banana seat bike to a local friend for $60.00.  She said she had one as a kid.

I sold some audio gear, but nowhere near enough.

We made a shade over $100.00, and oddly enough, we spent it on groceries.

I posted it on Craigslist.org three times, with a map of the area and everything.  Some people said they had seen it there, so I guess it worked.  Sadly, the participation wasn't that great.  I love doing (holding and visiting) garage sales.

The "tag sale of the century" that I mentioned a while back (the one I got locked into) was packed the first week they had it when they advertised in the paper and on craigslist.  The second week they advertised on just craigslist and it was much less crowded.  I don't know if not advertising in the paper was the difference, but if you don't live on a well driven, visible location, I would recommend using the newspaper or putting up a ton of signs around town (if they allow it, they don't seem to mind around here).
