hi, i am new to this site...but glad i am here...i dont know why but some tend to frown on thrifty people i dont know why...my grand mother started me out young on being thrifty and now its fun to see what i can find for next to nothing or free...its like a treasure hunt..what works for me when i am looking for something is to say a prayer and ask for what i am looking for and its funny but it is always there on trash day...when i am browsing my neighbors trash...i live in a trailer park community...poor people throw away the top of the line stuff..i found a beautiful antique marble table the leg was loose and i tightened up...not sure what i will do with it might just keep it..i found a seven foot unfinished wood plate rack that i am going to stain and hang up in my dining room another prayer answered by god...i feel happy with the life i have now i feel like i have won the lottery i always find what i need for free...i am well taken care of...i think god works in mysterious ways..i always have enough to pay my bills and have money left over to enjoy my hobbies...i am a pyrographer..i love woodburning...its relaxing and peaceful and a unique kind of art...its and old style art...i make music boxes and pictures and all sorts of different items...but i am finally living a fulfilled life...when i worked at the factory i was so unhappy and miserable...i feel i have more now then when i worked...i think if you put god first in your life then all things are possible...well, i dont want to offend anybody...i know everyone has different opionons on religion....just wanted to share this with someone...ive read every  ones  posts and i am glad i found a place where people enjoy thrifting...i thought i was a rare breed being a tight wad...lol

Welcome to the forum.  You have found some great stuff!  and for free which is even better.  I'd love to see some pictures of your art that you've created by woodburning.  It gives pictures such depth.  Looking forward to hearing more of your finds.

Oh definitely! I do hope you'll post some projects. I like woodburning, too-- enjoy putting on a movie I've seen a hundred times and just listening while I work.

It would be great to see what you've made!
And welcome, by the way!
