i had a dentist once whose wife macramed. only, because they were so large, and she was an "artiste" they were called "fiber explorations". i used to stare at them a lot (bad teeth) and wonder who spent the time dusting them. and yes, at least one had an orange hue to it!

I recently re-webbed my two aluminum lawn chairs.  It was a strangely fun and meditative exercise.  I will never macrame again as long as I live, I swear.  The smell of jute and the feel of rope cutting my fingers is something I can do without.  Not to mention the hideous "craft" things that I ended up with.
