A local thrift shop here sells the 45s for 10 cents each, so this doorway curtain was extremely cheap to make. Anyway, I wrote a how-to article on ehow.com if anyone wants to see how I did it.  Smiley  http://www.ehow.com/how_4846573_create-door-curtains-records.html

I also have a Sallygoodin blog which has lots of thrift shop redos. http://veryirie.blogspot.com/  Stop in and leave a note so I knew you were there. I'd love to visit your blog too.

BTW, this website, thethriftshopper.com is awesome. Thank you for the forum and giving like minded thrifters a meeting place.   Nice to meet everyone!  Pam @ Sallygoodin

No offense, but this made me shudder.  I hope you checked values before drilling those holes, or else used scratched/unplayable records only.  That Mary Kaye Trio 45 sells for $30 on musicstack.  I would cry if I saw old country & western or doowop records hanging in a doorway.

I noticed she had listed in the "tips and warnings" portion under the directions, to make sure you don't use any valuable/collectible records, so I assume this project is for otherwise unusable records.

Hey Mattie! Sorry for the scare.....yes this project is meant for unusable records...As valleythriftshopper pointed out, I put that warning under Tips cause I was thinking the exact same thing. The way I look at it, I rescued these old 45s and saved them from the trash. Now they can be admired again.
