I was catching up on some TV I missed and I spotted my 50's floor lamp on an episode of Jericho (I think it was season 1, episode 12)

Here's what I saw on the episode...

And here's a photo of my floor lamp...

How cool is that?

Sweet.  I love discoveries like this.

I discovered that some of my wife's kitchen utensils (slotted spoon, ladle, and fork) were the same ones Aunt Beru used back on Tatooine "a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away."

I immediately put them away, since they are so old and from so far, far away.

Glad to know that I am not the only one who would get excited over seeing something I owned validated by being used in a TV show. Bragging rights are allowed.

Thanks, I almost missed it because the scene was dark, and the lamp was only in the shot for a couple of seconds.

I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one who starts fixating on the lamps and other things in TV and movie sets. I was watching "Heroes" not long ago, wanting one of the characters to get out of the way so I could see this table lamp in the background.

It just ain't right. Smiley

TSR - One of the things I love about watching That 70's Show is seeing all the cool props in the background, especially in the kitchens.  Susan and I will watch it and be constantly saying OOOH!  I have that! to each other.

While I remember Jay-- though it's off-topic-- I finally got to see in an antique mall the Pyrex hot-air balloon chip and dip setup, with the big bowl I have and then the small dip bowl with the metal thing. VERY cool- and extremely helpful info. So thanks for letting me know, or I never would have noticed it.

That is so neat!

I really should watch "That 70's show" just for the decor.

On Thanksgiving day, I watched part of the old black and white version of "Miracle on 34th street" and I saw my coffee pot that I just got. Its a Sunbeam vacuum coffee pot. Now, I have the stove top vacuum coffee pot and the electric version. I also recently found a revere ware oven top perculator which I didn't realize was so collectible. The same model was selling for $50 on ebay!

Blenko glass is cool.  Its actually somewhat of a local product here.  I think the factory where its made is about 1 - 2 hours from my house.
