Hello fellow thrifty shoppers!
I would just like to state that St. Vincent De Paul, just as many other thrift stores, receives FREE donations from the public to help in the support of their store.  Personally, I feel as though if something comes at you free of charge, and you want to turn around and sell it, that you should do so at a reasonable price in order to get it out of the store and to put some money in the register which then can be used to help out who you say you're helping.
However, the St. Vincent De Paul located at 601 E. Hwy 50 in Clermont, Fl does just the opposite.
I have not been in this particular store for some time. However, I used to be a frequent shopper. The prices once were very reasonable which lead to many people leaving the store with arms full of good deals. That has since changed here in Clermont. Now under new management by a man named, "Netesh," the store has done a complete 180 and sky-rocketed their prices so much that I plan on not going there anymore to do so-called "thrift shopping."

That's a bummer.  The same thing happened to my favorite Salvation Army.  Not only were the prices great, but I used to find amazing things too.  The last few years prices have been ridiculous and it just keeps getting worse.  I went in the other day because I heard they got a new manager and the prices were even higher!  Also, I never see any cool vintage stuff anymore so I am assuming it goes out the back door with the employees.

They must rely on uneducated consumers.

Joe,

I spoke with Nitesh at length just yesterday. When David was the retail manager of the Orlando SVdPs things sure were alot different. Then Sara took the reigns and now Nitesh.
Every manager has a different way of doing things and sometime we thrifters have to deal with extreme change in our favorite haunts.
The main reason a thrift shop is in business in the first place is to raise as much money for their particular charity as they can and each person sees that goal through using different means.
I will absolutely see that Nitesh reads this post so he can hear your feedback which he does value.
