I’ve been incredibly inspired by http://www.theartistsway.com/ lately. The website and book contains philosophies and tools for reinvigorating and maximizing your creativity. Many of us thrifters have already sensed it before, but languid, solo trips to the thrift store are incredibly creatively stimulating. Like we need more reasons to thrift?

I wrote a more detailed blog post about this idea. I just wanted to share the philosophy with other thrifters, writers, and artists  in hopes that they become inspired as well. Don’t mind the photo of pin-up muse from the other night on the blog post:  http://bit.ly/7Sg1nH

Anyone else notice a surge in creativity after a trip to your favorite thrift or junk store?

I will have to check out that site, I need some invigorating and maximizing.  I find I get alot of energy while I am thrift shopping, especially if there are good finds, usually after I get home I am pooped as with most errand running.  I think the idea of making some cool stuff with thrift finds is more exciting than the actual making itself, but that's just me.  I usually need some kind of deadline to get projects done, like yesterday I spent most of the afternoon on sewing projects because I have company coming and wanted to slipcover some cushions.

Glad to hear there are some high energy people out there, thanks for posting your thoughts!
