i have a happy kind of story for you all..

the other day was my mother's 80th birthday. seeing as how she is MY mother, i thought i'd pop into a thrift store and see if there was anything in the jewelry case which caught my eye. Of course, i found something! so, when i gave her the present, i included the small necklace with the other items. i purposely kept the price tag on. when she saw that i only paid a dollar for her new necklace, she laughed and laughed! she showed all her friends the price tag, and they all howled with glee.

see, everyone loves a good thrift value!

Ha, yes, that IS a good one. When you come from thrifty parents, it's true that the amazingly low price tag ends up being a part of the gift. Your mom knows she raised ya right!  Smiley
