Friday 3-20-09

1 vintage 1960's Craftsman industrial grade (1/3 HP) saber saw
8 TDK D60 cassettes
(I'm moving to looking for 60 minute tapes to tape Our Miss Brooks and Great Gildersleeve - each episode is just under 30 minutes in length)

Total damage was $11.10 after coupon.

Today at the Goodwill at 7th Street at Union Hills, I found a complete collection of Twin Peaks video tapes.  There was a 6 tape set which had all 29 episodes, a tape of the pilot movie, and a tape of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.  Both the checkout girl and the woman behind me on line were incredulous that I found all the tapes together on the shelf at the same location.

Psyched.

Total damage for all the tapes (plus 2 TDK D60's) was $17.96

I haven't watched that show since it was first on TV.  Nice find!

I am truly jealous.  It makes me long for a damn good cup of coffee and a piece of pie.

In April, I did not too much thrift shopping.

I scored a pair of made-in-England Doc Marten boots in my size for $9.99 - broken in but not worn out.

I found a couple of cassettes at the Hospice of Yuma Thrift Store
- Frank Sinatra - The Capital Years
- Didgeridoo By Johny Red Ant

4 copies of some late 2008 and early 2009 Car and Driver magazines for $.25 a piece

A pair of carpenter jeans on a desperation buy (both my pairs blew out within 2 weeks) for $4.99 at a Goodwill.

Pretty lame.

Doc Martens can be a little stiff new anyway, better to get them broken in.
