Hopefully, someone from Alabama will be able to answer my question.  What are the best thrift stores in Birmingham?  I am there to see my doctor and will have some hours kill.  I love Birmingham, so I'm hoping they have some good stores.

Thanks

Hi there! I hope your Dr. appt. hasn't past.  I found these great stores on my own Dr. trips.
the Roebuck Area (East Burb of B'ham) has two great stores right off I20  - Savers and America's Thrift (HUGE Store).  They are both right on Roebuck Pkwy.  There are several America's Thrift in B'ham.  I'm not sure of the other neighborhoods but the Roebuck area seems ok.

Thank you!  Thank you!

My flight to Birmingham is tomorrow morning so you had perfect timing.  I will check them out.

You wouldn't happen to see Dr. Andrews/Dr. Dugas in Birmingham do you?  I've had 3 surgeries there in the last year, so I'm excited to find some Thrift Stores there.

Thanks

I stopped at both the Birmingham stores suggest and was totally overwhelmed.  The stores are huge.  Basically the size of a Wal Mart.  In SW Florida our biggest store might be the size of a Wal Greens and here were huge stores.
I expected to stop at more stores before my flight back to Orlando, but these two stores were so big that I didn't have time.

In the end it was a fun couple hours and a really big tease.  I saw a lot of things I was interested in buying, but couldn't fit in my bag for on the plane.

Thanks for the info and I would recommend either store for anyone in Birmingham.
