I want to draw attention to something I have noticed
lately at several thrift shops in my area, but esp. at
Generations in Hayward, CA:

Books have been increased in price!  Look, people who
buy books at thrift shops are not rich and dont go to
Borders.  So you are providing a source for reading
and enrichment to this population.  It is an
alternative to those who can't get to libraries for
some reason, or as a supplliment to library use.

This is not a way to make money.  You should just be a
conduit for books and people to meet up.  Generations
used to have paperbacks for $.25 each and that was a
great bargain.  Now they are $1.  For people who have
kids esp. that is a real burden.  But you need a
reading public for democracy people!  Don't bind them
with such an expense.  Most of the books you have are
hardly worth the $.25.  This is not the place to
increase prices folks.

That is my 2 Cents.  Thanks for the forum.
