http://www.allmodern.de/

While not a thrift site, this beautiful place has the most incredible examples of mid-century modern/modernist jewelry.  A wonderful to visit and drool over and learn! And someday when your ships come in---

I'm seriously lobbying DH for a piece for Valentine's Day...

Check it out,

I could look at that site all day, SeSo. Thanks for posting it. I learn so much from you guys!

I always check out the jewelry in thrifts. My favorite thrift in my town has quite a bit, and usually not marked too high. There are a lot of artist/craftsmen here, so I often find some great signed pieces, not necessarily mid-century modern, but good stuff and very modern-looking.

Not to hijack the thread, but I'm a fan of Rebajes modernist copper jewelry http://www.modernsilver.com/unclefrank.html. This stuff goes for quite a bit on E-Bay. A few years ago, I found one of his copper trays in a thrift for a buck.  Cheesy

I am so glad you like the site, Femme1. I have been in touch with Ute there. She just got back from a shopping trip through Scandinavia and told me she got some incredible items.  I am seriously jonesin' for a piece or ten. It is truly awesome stuff.

Hijack away, m'dear.  Rebajes is very much a part of this, though US in origin. I envy very much your $1 find!! Do you still have it?  What can you tell us about it (I can live vicariously, can't I? Smiley)  I've never found a piece of Rebajes thrifting, though the thrift gods know I've tried. Man, how I've tried!

PS:  I think I just read somewhere that Denmark has the highest happiest quotient in the world. It must be all that great design... Smiley
