Let's see if we can get this thing to work.

A few rules:

1) Let's keep the list simple to start - 1 wish per participant.
2) By adding a wish here, you agree to be prepared to look for others' wishes while in the stores you visit.
3) Be reasonable in your wishes.  To wit: if you ask for a Picasso and I find one, YOU are not getting it; If you ask for a 24 cu ft fridge, be prepared to come and pick it up; Try to refrain from being hyper-specific and nit-picky about clothes - no one has as good an eye as you.

Let's begin.

I've been trying to spot one of those lamps for you for a while now, the only one I saw, the thrift wanted $150 for it!  (glass was smoke gray)

I would never ask anyone to pay something like that, but depending on the condition and if it came with a nice original shade, I'd have paid that..

I'll keep that in mind next time I see one.  MCM stuff is usually pretty expensive around here, but often its cheap when I visit the flea markets in West Virginia on the weekends.

I'm looking for either albums or cassettes (preferably cassettes) BUT NO CD's (the sequences on the CD's is all mixed up and the continuity of the original albums and cassettes is lost) from the Cruisin' line of cassettes and albums:

I think they run from 1955 to 1970.  I have 1957 on vinyl and 1962 and 1963 on cassette.  Any others would be GREAT!

Thanks.

Oh wow, BDA.  My mother had those. No sure why she had them, not her taste in music.  But my sister was always trying to change her taste in music.  Don't know what became of them when we packed up her house a few years ago.

Well if they show up someday, YOU KNOW who would appreciate them.  Thanks for keeping me in mind.

Those lamps are exactly like the ONE I saw in a local thrift a couple months ago for $150!  2/$185 seems like a bargain!

I don't even know where to start.  I'll think of something!

I'm in TS on a daily basis so you all feel free to post your wishes as I may just come across them.

Sir Thrift-A-Lot:  No luck on the Thirst Aid front.  I've been actively looking for these on each stop - since they would be an "easy spot."

Skip:  While not as diligent with your request, I have looked at more than a few stacks of old magazines, which seem to largely run towards Sports Illustrated and Women's Mags.  No High Times, Cracked, or Mad.

Good Buddy: No luck with your lamps.  This has also been looked for in each shop, but the lamps in our neck of the woods run heavily towards Ikea, Wal-Mart and Staples.
