In my area, good items have declined noticeably in the last year. Others here have made similar comments, but why is this? Few stores except G'will are online, and I've not seen a surge in TS customers (tho I'm not there during all business hours). Recession causing fewer donations and more TS customers, more folks selling online rather than donating, TSs being more selective about what they put out, or ? Also, I know year-end causes a bump-up in donations for tax deductions, but does the summer yard-sale season cause a bump-up for things unsold at those sales?

What is your area?

What does TS mean?

I am seeing a surge in items in the past couple weeks in the thrifts - spring cleaning. For about almost 2 months it was drrry... really dry.

Yeah, it can cause a bump, but they stuff ain't really that good!

Our Salvation Army store is packed.  I spent 90 minutes in there tonight and found some really useful things.  I would think most people donate extra items not sold from garage sales and the thrift store selections would be really good now.
