Which items do you always look for but never find?

I always look at GoodWill for a guitar, but I never find one:P.

Which items do you usually make sure you look out for?

View-Master scenic reels from the 1940s-'60s.

Antique photographs and photo albums.  I did find a couple 1920s studio portraits at the SPCA thrift a few years ago but that's it.

Vintage toy motorcycles.

Millinery flowers!  I saw a little bunch of them on a vintage hat once at the Sal Army, but they wanted too much for the hat and it was gone before 1/2 price day.  Other than that I don't think I ever saw any at a thrift which is weird.  I had a chance to get some at an estate sale where there were lots of old hats with millinery, they were sitting unsold near the end of the sale, wish I had made an offer to see if I could get them cheap.

I would love to find old photos or better yet an album of old photos too.  Never found a piece of bakelite jewlery either.  I could probably think of lots more but it is depressing!

Mego Dolls, Duran Duran Tees & Board Game, old toys in their original boxes and Wonder Woman Items (the older the better).

I did find a "Do The Urkel" Board Game on Wednesday (at Unique Thrift Store in Willowick, OH) which I did not know existed so that was a good addition to my collection

I love Sherlock Holmes, in all his incarnations, not just the most recent one, but aside from a vintage book here and there, never anything else.  I say that and know nexr TS visit, something will turn up.  Hope so anyway as that is how it usually works.

old magazines.  None of the thrifts that I visit sell magazines.  I like to look at the old advertisements and read old articles from the past.  I've seen magazines at thrifts on youtube, so I know there are thrifts out there that sell them.

We just started selling magazines for 25 cents each -- never knew people would buy them and was tossing them. Someone asked if I would sell a large quantity of them for one money and I sold them for $5!
Some things I get asked for almost daily is beds, dressers and other home furnishings. When we do get them they usually sell within hours of putting them out.

HAHA @ the board game.  I didn't know they made that either.  Do you have the Urkel doll too?

I've never found any All Clad either, or any of the other high end cookware.  I have found some copper saucepans though.  Paid about $3 each for them.  A lot better than the stores.

I never found All Clad myself, but one day last summer I was in line behind a woman who had a large cardboard box FULL of All Clad pots and pans.  They needed to be cleaned up but were otherwise in great shape.  I asked her if she knew what she had and she said, "oh honey, of course I do."  They were in the box in housewares with two other boxes stacked on top.
