Oh Yeah!

Don't worry my lovelies. I haven't gone mad.

I do enjoy a quiet morning at the mall when I am in the mood. I love to go and look at my favorite things (linens, alas, I am hopeless there.) I get the giggles at times. It just thrills me no end to see some of the things I've bought recently for such exorbitant prices.

I look at all the nice people there. I watch them buying all the goodies that will be mine when they tire of them. I do feel sorry for some of them but I know that it isn't good manners to get on a soapbox and preach at the mall.

A big diet Pepsi and a nice bench is good fun. Dontcha just luv the mall!

It's helpful to go to the mall and see regular prices on things, as well as what the styles are. It makes you a smarter thrifter, because when items come in, you'll either know when it's overpriced, or with items from places like TJ Maxx and Marshalls, you'll know the item you're looking at might be a repro instead of an original vintage piece.

I don't hardly go to the mall any more.  But I think that it would be a good idea to compare those prices and recognize brands.

speaking of price comparison, I saw an Ann Taylor sweater in a magazine I LOVED ($95) but would not pay the price!   3 weeks later, THE sweater showed up at Goodwill, new and $5!   I was SO happy to find it!
