One of my favorite finds is a group of four 7 Eleven Marvel Comics glasses that I got at a thrift in Mesa AZ that has since closed. I was really in to character glasses at the time and I have always been a superhero fan.
There's a Fantastic Four, Hulk, The Amazing Spider-Man and Thor glass. They're from 1977 in GREAT shape and I paid about $6 a piece for them. The set includes a Captain America glass and Howard the Duck. I'll probably have to get them on eBay.

Bad photo, sorry..

Here's a similar set to watch:

I would hold on to them and enjoy them until they are really valuable, who knows maybe your daughter will be a big comic fan too!

One of my favorite thrift days was when I walked in to the Salvation Army and saw two shelves full of depression glass, someone had donated a whole collection.  I bought it all for 25 bucks!

My favorite finds are probably my vintage Christmas ornaments most of which I recently found at the food bank thrift when they set up a Christmas room this past holiday season.  I couldn't believe how many awesome ornaments/decorations I found.  I am starting to get worried about that place though because someone new is managing the store and I haven't seen anything good there in a long time!

What is your favorite find?

@Valleythrifts

You're right to be concerned about the new management and nothing good showing up anymore.  That's what happened to all the thrifts from where I'm from.  Management comes in and takes all the good stuff.  I've asked several different employees at thrifts and they all confirm this.

At the store I was talking about everyone that works there insists that employees are only allowed to shop on their days off, but I doubt that is the case.

My favorite finds are rare vintage clothing -- a couple of years ago at Village Thrift they had a vintage Pucci dress and right next to it was a 1970's Diane von Furstenberg dress.  I was literally quivering when I saw them.

The Pucci was $4.00, the DvF was $6.

The Sal in my neighborhood is suddenly getting MUCH better.  Including to that $3.99 Versace dress from a few weeks ago, last week I got a Betsey Johnson silk dress ($4.00) and a vintage Victorian-inspired Norma Makali velvet jacket ($4.00).  Both headed for eBay.

I use to live in Mesa,AZ now Queen Creek.. I use to go to thrift stores in Mesa and couldn't find anything worth while.  Still don't to this day.. if they do they price it way too high..I think the ownder gets the stuff before the store opens up in the morning.. SAD...I use to have some of the glasses the lady bought.  Sigh... I sold them before I moved here from Iowa.. rats...We sell on Ebay my husband. We have found some stuff that is neat to sell and look  for new toys for our kids... Goodwill is getting high priced also.. Some stores are fine. Gilbert is high..They think ppl are richer I think  lol...

I pick up mostly toys and games. I found a Simon electronic game for a buck, that I later resold for $80. My kids played with it for a week first. Lots of fun. One cool thing I found was a lawn croquet set for $5. It was never opened! We use it every summer, staking it out on our small patch of grass.
