I am relieved to say that I have never personally purchased or sold any of this stuff   Smiley

I have clicked on auctions on Ebay that play that song- its funny but also very accurate!  I was psyched to find a vintage Pez (Rudolf the reindeer) dispenser at the SA last year.  I figured I was an official Ebayer when I had sold a pez dispenser!  The early Ebay was famous for pez & the like although I think those items are certainly more worthy than Britney Spear's hair & some of the doozies they come up with now

Thanks for the link. I sent it along to my favorite sis who is probably the world's greatest eBay whiz! She'll love it.   Grin

Too funny. I just received a link to that and was going to post it here!!! (Great minds think alike???). I was going to say I've never bought or sold any of those items on eBay, but I must admit that I have a rather large collection of Alf items in the attic. Embarrassed

normally i can't stand weird al (how is he STILL selling music after all these years?) but I have to say this song is DEAD ON.

i usually use ebay as a reference point: no way i'm gonna pay $15 plus extra shipping for an old springbok puzzle, but it's nice to know if i had an extra puzzle i've got a place to unload it and make some cash to take me to the thrift store!

things i really have purchased on ebay: toy for the kids (uber cheap because i knew it would be instantly forgotten or destroyed), out of print posters, and one vintage video that isn't stocked anywhere. i bought something expensive on ebay once and got hosed - turned out it didn't fit as advertised. took me two years to unload it because i refused to continue the cycle of lies and re-advertise it on ebay to some other poor schmuck. basically, i'm a lurking occasional customer. it's not like i have the ebaydrug problem or anything.. i've been clean for a long time.. days even.. do i have to introduce myself with just my first name and last initial?Huh

oh thanx Seso for that link! toooo funny! I do Ebay all the time (shop) and I hate to admit it even have a bid in on something as I type this, and last week received a ring from there, My hubby bought me a brand new book at booksamillion a few yrs ago about selling stuff on Ebay and I have never even looked at it yet, I bought a digital camera (before Thanksgiving, and still havent had it out of the box) so maybe I could eventually learn how to sell on Ebay, but both items are still not being used, I have this issue of (when I dont care to learn about something or am timid about taking a challenge headon) ignoring something in hopes that it'll just be learned , Oh what a procastinatorI am,  :`(is anyone else like this?

Most definitely, there is a FREE art class that takes place at a local community center every Thursday.  The woman who runs it used to paint professionally for a tile company so she knows what she is doing.  If I could get my lazy butt over there I could paint some of my yard sale finds & sell them on Ebay for pretty good $.  I used to take art classes in HS & college so I know I can do decorative painting, but I am not quite as interested in drawing/painting as I used to be so my motivation level is low.  Still, it is a free opportunity that I am not taking advantage of.

Side note:  my kids have watching Weird Al on you tube.  They think he is hysterical.  Ya gotta admit, he does come up with some doozies.   Cheesy
