Oh Yeah!

Ah summer is here and that means visiting g-kids. Jo is going to be 14 and is staying with me for two weeks. My Sissy's b-day was the first. Her daughter, X-husband and g-dau all have July b-days. My g-dau has one on the 10th. We are turning the 4th into a b-day extravaganza.

What has that got to do with Thrifting? We took ourselves over to the GW 'As Is'. Unbelievable! With that many gifts (and gags) to buy it would be overwhelming at the mall. Now, just a stop at the $ Store and Safeway and we'll be be in good shape.

BTW, sometimes being so thrifty can put a big 'crunch' in my cookie. I own my SUV and haven't carried comprehensive on it in years . . . $1500! Just one hit from a flying object on the freeway. Over all the time I've owned the car I've saved money but 'ouch' when it hit so big all at once. Yet another reason the gifts needed to be thrifty . . . but so cool.

I don't think I could have found such great choices at the 'other' stores.

OUCH  Shocked with the SUV  but it sounds like all the people are OK?  That is the important thing.  Guess you will have to give up eating out for a bit,  but keep on thrifting.
