I used to, and try to buy now when I can!   I live outside St. Louis County (she lives in St. Louis County) and I've met her a few times at signings and such - in fact, at the last one, I gave her 2 ideas I thought would be good books for her to do, and she said she liked them and had someone write it down!

I have never seen that magazine, but I'll have to check it out.  I get Better Homes & Gardens.  The wealthy people whose houses are featured in there have alot of flea market, yard sale, thrift store finds in their decorating schemes.  Supports the theory that the more money you have the less you are willing to spend.

I like this magazine because it is mostly about decorating unlike Martha Stewart who started doing too much cooking & gardening articles.  She did write a book about flea market finds years ago though, if you have it at your local library it is a good read.

I love mary englebrietes things, her home designs are always so bright and cherry and also her illustrations, I picked up a few of her magazines (where else thrifting) a few yrs ago and really enjoyed them and all the pretty pictures, not to mention the faboulous tips, she's very creative! Yes, I've been a subscriber for years.  I love it!  It's so eclectic and free spirited.  Not stuffy like some decorating magazines.  And it has ideas that I can actually afford to try out.

I agree, sometimes you dont want to throw them out when your done, if your like me I always think "now I might need this one day, or look for ideas etc" I hate when I start thinking like that because that only means one thing, I start to stockpile stuff thinking I will get to it, when in reality I never do! lol!
