Does anyone ever get coupons to thrift stores? I never have, but today I noticed on the back of our grocery receipt that there was a coupon for the new thrift store - Barker's More 4 Less. I love this store, so I'm excited. The coupon is for 40% off any one item. Of course, in small print it says 15% off on gray or white tag items. So these must be the colors that aren't in the rotation. Still a good deal. I may just have to stop in before work if I have time. And I'll also have to keep my eye on all future grocery receipts.

This site is just encouraging my addiction! Cheesy

That sounds like a great coupon.  I hope you find lots of great bargains to use the coupon with.  I've gotten coupons at the thrift store for future use when I bought something but I've never noticed one on a grocery receipt.  I'll have to start looking closer at my receipts now.

One of our St. Vincent de Paul's gives dollar-off coupons. It always seems remarkable to me!

It turns out that hundreds of thrift stores offer coupons.
Many thrift store websites have coupons you can print out.
Alot of Goodwills have coupons you can print from time to time.
We used to get coupons for a chain called Thrift Town. There's no Thrift Town near us, but we'd bet the coupon in the mail regardless.

my favorite thrift store doesn't give a coupon, they have a "frequent buyer card" instead. You have to spend $10 to get it stamped. once i went in on a half price day, so i got almost $20 worth of merchandise for almost $10 dollars. i needed about 40 cents to make $10.. the lady told me i could make a donation to the charity in order to make it up to $10. so i got my card stamped, she got an extra 40 cents, and everyone was happy!

didn't save the receipt  -- i don't think i can claim that 40 cents on my taxes this year!

The Goodwills in central AZ (also good in Prescott and Yuma) have on-line coupons you can print at will.  I'm never without a few in my pocket and in my car.  They give you 20% off any purchase of $10 or more, and I have saved hundreds of dollars over the years by using them.  However, if you buy stuff with the 50% off color tag or the "all items $1.00" color, those items don't count towards the $10.00 purchase.  You just have to be able to do the math in your head, that's all.

Savers used to place coupons in their calendars - good ones, too, but then they went "all cheap" and put in fewer (used to be 12 - one good each month; then for 2007 they went to 4 - 1 good each quarter) and lame coupons, like buy an item for more than $5.00 and get a free one worth less than $5.00.  Just give me the percent off coupons, thank you very much.

Thrift Store Coupons ROCK!

That is all.

I have never been in a place that has coupons at the thrifts.  Those would be too much fun!  Actually, I don't even think the thrifts around here have %'s off on a regular basis.  I was in the SA one time when they had a Customer Appreciation Day and certain things were 1/2 off during certain times, but I'm not sure how often they do that.

Savers was selling those calenders last year. Not a good deal..
Kinda like those oil change coupons that those guys would come around and try to sell you that you never used..

I'm on Thrift Town's e-mail list so I get printable coupons, plus I sometimes get their coupons in the mail, and I use their frequent-shopper card.  St. Vincent's also used to have a card, but they stopped doing that.  Sad

thrift town is one of my favorites! i've found so much incredible stuff there. they do such a good job of merchandising. it's about the only store i frequent that isn't a charity. they are really far away from me, so i have to make a special trip. but it's usuallly worth it!

The Thrift Town I was speaking of is most definitely a charity.
