There should probably be a separate section on the forum to discuss the articles in the magazine.

I was just reading the article on Goodwill when I saw the picture of the store and thought I've been to that store.  On closer inspection I realized that no I haven't been to that particular store.  But the exterior picture of the store reminds me very much of the retro look of the store in Brandon FL.  Where is the store pictured located?  I'd like to visit it, it looks very nice, clean, organized and I love the coffee shop!

You are so Right, ChrisMiss!  We are working on changing the magazine over to a blog format so everyone can comment right after each article, but for now it's fine to talk about it here in the forum.  The first picture and the last picture are both the St. Petersburg, Florida, Goodwill store, and the ones in the middle with the coffee shop were taken at the store in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  The coffee shop idea is brilliant, isn't it?  Shoppers just want to stay longer if they can rest and refuel without leaving the store.  I like the retro look of the St. Petersburg store, too.

I just wanted to mention that we haven't done away with Thrifter of the Month.  Big Daddy Audio is featured in this month's issue.  We just added it yesterday after the Thrifting in Chicago story.  ChrisMiss, I'll be expecting your Thrifter of the Month article for September!  And Zed Simon, Mattie, and Jay2TheRescue, you guys are up next, so get ready.  I need 500 words about you and your life as a thrifter, how you got started thrifting, what you collect, your thrifting tips or strategies, anything about thrifting you want to talk about.  And don't forget a picture!  I'm eventually going to get to everyone, so if you're posting in the forum, you're going to wind up as Thrifter of the Month at some point. Cheesy

Not to derail the topic, but this is a great idea. Love it!

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming ...

I'm gonna be a Thrifter o' the Month?!  Woohoo!  I'll start working on those 500 words tonight!

And I would like to say I'm glad the mag is going to switch to a blog format.  I come to the forum automatically every day but usually forget to check the magazine.  Maybe I'll be more remember-ful if it's a blog.
