I wasn't sure if you all knew this, but you are listed on page 146 of the October '07 issue of Parents Magazine as a place for people to go and check thrift stores in their local area.

We went to a few stores, then found it at a Barnes and Noble..

And here's what they wrote inside:

We had no idea the site was going to be mentioned and are thrilled!

Congrats to you, Good Buddy and Cookie!  This is wonderful press!

Do you have a way to see if your hits to the site increase?

We're having better than average visits from unique visitors. About a 10% increase.

Congrats on the article, but I'll bet the person who set up that photo shoot has never been in a thrift store.  Five dollars for a thrifted knitted baby cap?  Insane!

It's a set-up photo - I mean - two things - who would pay $5.00 for a .99 item, and who WOULDN'T wash a knit cap before dumping it on their kid's head?

Buddy and Cookie - congratulations, though.  This is a great site and totally worth the mention in the main-stream press.

(Listen to us - the hard-core thrifting legion) "Who'd pay that much?"  "Who wouldn't wash something like that?"  "They've never been in a thrift store."

I guess if they really did their research, and spoke with use PRIOR to propping the shot, the price tag would be gone, and the price mentioned would be lower.

That is all.
