Hello Everyone.
I volunteer at a small church-run thrift shop in western PA., where everything is donated by the good people of our fairly affuent community.
I'm curious what blue jeans are selling for in other stores.
It seems, if we price them too cheap, some people will buy several pairs. We want our items available to people who need them, but some others (smart shoppers?) seem to take advantage of our low prices.
On a side note... on a recent trip to Italy, I saw designer jeans(with pre-shredded thighs) on sale for our equivalant of $70-120 .
Most of the clothing items(shirts pants) in our store are $.25
Do you think our pricing of designer/new jeans at $2.00 is too much?

I usually shop @ Goodwill Stores in the Fresno, CA area. Adult jeans usually are priced at $5 and children's are $2.  Sometimes, if the children's jeans are name brand (Levi's or Wrangler, for example) they might get priced @ $5 if they are in really good condition.

The Northern Indiana Goodwill where I shop charges $7:00 for adult jeans, $5:00 for kids jeans.

Goodwill in AZ will vary from $4.99 to $7.99 for jeans, depending on make.

You could try to make a set price for certain brands & if you get a designer brand such as True Religion or any other expensive designer brand then make it a bit higher.

I run a small thrift on LI NY, our price prices depend on tags. We charge about 4.50 for used jeans, new are 8, then we half the price and then they go for a dollar. then we salvage them out. hope it helps.

I live close to Pittsburgh Mills and was wondering where your church thrift was located.
