A woman was changing her baby's diaper on one of the sofas that was for sale at the GW. I couldn't believe it! There is a public bathroom at the GW, so she could have used that instead of the SOFA! It was so gross. I felt like saying something to her, but she probably didn't speak English. I did tell the cashier about it when I paid for my items. She just said that's really nasty.

I was grossed out, but oddly enough, I found two great things to buy in the store, right after the baby incident.

I'm glad I didn't want to buy that sofa!

Babies are beautiful and all, but change the kid in private!

A friend of mine is an event manager at a restaurant and he said a lady did the same thing on one of their skirted and tableclothed food tables for a reception. He'd prepped everything for the event, came in the room a bit before it, and lo-- there was the lady changing her baby.

People really NEED to think things through.

I remember when I bought my old red vintage modern chaise lounge at the SA In Leesburg.  It was on the sidewalk, and when I backed my truck up to it I had to chase a woman off of it with her kids.  She was feeding them chocolate while they were sitting on the chaise I just paid for!

That clerk should have said something to the woman.  There are times I appaulade clerks that have the gumption to speak up.  For example when kids are running wild through a store.

I used to work retail.  It is amazing the things people will do themselves and let their kids do in  stores.  And get mad at the sales clerks who call them on it.  I lost count of how many times I had to tell people I was not a babysitter and they couldn't let their kids run wild in the store.  I wonder if they ever realized that their threat to never come back to the sotre had us all hoping they wouldn't?
