I just love this site!   Grin

While at SA last night, I noticed a woman in the same aisle. She stopped, open several of the half empty hand cream bottles, & finally made her selection.  She poured some into her hand, massaged it in, recapped the bottle and put it back.  Then went on her merry way.  I suddenly realized that this isn't the first time I've seen this happen.  How funny!

Tammy, you mean you weren't at Walgreens or Walmart when you saw this happen? Cheesy

Maybe the lady thought she was at the Clinique counter, where they have those "testers".

Bless her heart!

Just one more reason why we all love thrifting!

Does anybody actually buy those half-empty bottles of lotions and potions and stuff?  I've purchased unused bars of soap still in the wrappers, and I bought an old metal can of Avon Cotillion powder for the kitsch factor (although, in a pinch, I DID sprinkle some on when I was very sweaty and didn't have time to shower before going out with a friend).  But there's something icky about using someone else's beauty/hygiene products.  Bleaaah.

Well, they weren't half-used, but they did have a little bit gone out of them! Wink I found 2 bottles of Origins bath salts and bath oil foam. Delicious! I think they must have been part of someone's unwanted gift set. Embarrassed At 81 cents a piece I couldn't resist!

The only place I have found that sells half-used bottles of lotions and such is a thrift called Value Village. They will sell ANYTHING so I tend not to trust them. (It's the kind of thrift where if one of the customers dropped dead in the aisle they'ed put a price tag on him and plop him on a shelf. Undecided Cheesy) A lot of their cosmetics and lotions and such are very clearly past their use by date. I have seen eye shadows that I wore in Jr. High. (1980's) Shocked Can you imagine the bacteria?!
