(it's of the two mechanical things ...I am sorry, I am not a Star Wars fan)
You mean these guys?

The one on the left is C-3PO, and his little buddy is R2D2. I've come to know them quite well lately with all the Star Wars madness happening on Spike TV.

Hi Zed, how ya doing? Long time no chat. I understand you had fabulous weather today up in your neck o' the woods.

I couldn't open your link, but here's one of just the decal:

My tee is an original from 1977 and is made in the good ole' USA. Yeay!  Is this decal of those guys you mentioned?

See ya,

Apparently that link had been around some. Fixed up a shorter one f'yall.

Yeah, it's been gorgeous the past few days. Tomorrow and the weekend I'll actually be able to enjoy it. Who knows, maybe I can even get some more thrifting done.

Yes, Zed, those are the guys. The tee fits me perfectly.

Happy you are having great weather what have you been thrifting lately? Hope you get to go tomorrow.

Did you know I am only the baby boomer who is NOT a Star Wars fan? I was almost drummed out of my generation, but got leniency because I love Garfield and 70s-80s Woody Allen stuff  Cheesy

Do you know what I found in records? Mongo Santamaria! Are you a fan??

I almost got drummed out of work for not seeing the original Star Wars movie (now Ep. 4) until the other night. A supervisor's a HUGE fan. Me, not so much, but they're all good movies.

Just getting back into the swing of thrifting - the gas prices have kept me home lately. But I stopped into Selden today for a Japanese DVD of Stuart Little 2 and a PSOne that was 1/2 price. Funny: I spotted a little stuffed R2D2 but didn't want to get him without an accompanying C3PO, which I didn't see.

Got a light bill to pay tomorrow and there's a Goodwill right across the street from there, so it's a no-brainer to check it out, and then visit the Sally a couple buildings up.

Glad you got to keep your job, lol.

Apparently these robots come in pairs? Is the Stuart Little in Japenese or is it just made in Japan?

Yeah, I know what you mean about gas prices crimping our thrifting. Some of the really great thrifts are 20-30 miles from my house, so I go only when I can stop at all of them, or wait till the weekend and drag me mate along (he doesn't complain too  much.)

Don't forget to share your SallyAnn adventures! I must live vicariously until I get on the road again, hopefully later this week.

Well, Sally seemed a little wiped out, but I managed to find a couple things. I got a Black & Decker Car Vac Plus (essentially a Dustbuster with a car cord) in the box with all the stuff for $5 and a couple CDs. One woman was disappointed that the only VCR they had for sale didn't work, and she really needed one for someone. She had no luck getting them to sell her one of the working decks the store uses to demonstrate TVs.

Goody had some goodies too. I found a cool Binford Tools coffee mug for 99 cents (arh! arh! arh!) and this really cool little Electronic Master Mind game from the '70s:

The game picks out a secret 3-, 4-, or 5-digit number you have to guess by entering it on the keypad. It keeps track of how many digits are correct and how many are in the right place. Simple yet fascinating. It's in a vinyl holder with score sheets and instructions, and had what looked like original red Eveready batteries in it...amazingly, they weren't leaking all over the place. In fact, there's not a speck of wear anywhere on this game! A right dandy for $1.99, I'd say.

Cheerio!

Well,Zed  you did good! I like your little Electronic Master Mind thingee. I think that is a cracking good buy, and in such excellent condition, too. Car Vac is a good thing, too, instead of lugging the Hoover outside Grin

Nighty-nite,

...Or having to save quarters for the vac at the Shell station, which is what I'd otherwise do. Although the last time I went there I found 55 cents in change!
