The writing, set design, and acting are fantastic.  Its great to see all that great old stuff in an authentic setting.  From what I heard the set designers took great pains to make sure everything is proper.  Even on this week's episode they originally wanted to give the kid an Etch-A-Sketch for her birthday, but then they realized that it was 4 months too early so she got a playhouse instead.  I thought it was incredibly funny to hear the kids in the playhouse...  "Take off your shoes in the house!", "You dented the car!", and my favorite, "I like sleeping on the couch!".  Very obviously what these kids were hearing at home...

Sounds like a good show.  I would love to see it, but we don't have cable anymore.  I'll have to go to the neighbor's house to check it out sometime.

It's a great show, Jay. I saw the first episode, but missed the next two, because I was traveling. But I get the gist of it Cheesy. Plus, I was born and raised right outside of NYC,(I remember you used to live one town over from me, but not when I lived there and certainly a lot later---don't want to age you before your time Kiss Kiss)  I was five back in 1960---remember most of this  well---these characters are my parents' age.  It has a lot of resonance for  me. I like watching shows about the 60s-70s, because since I lived those years, I can catch the bloopers Wink Wink

Let's watch it on Thursday and see if we can catch some bloopers. They smoke so much in that show, I want to wear an oxygen mask!

It sounds like a good show.  I don't have time to devote to a single show.  Most of my time with TV is taken up by sports or with my daughter watching "Hannah Montana" on the Disney Channel.

I worked in advertising for about a year and a half during the late 1980's (on the media buying side), and it was nowhere near as glamorous for me as described in this show.  Actually, the hours were long, I gained a lot of weight, and money was wasted.  It also didn't pay very well.

That is all.
