My husband likes to thrift but not as often as me.  And yep, I have seen him off in the distance looking at fishing stuff and thought, "I'm glad he's mine". 

As for noticing other people...I try really hard to avoid the "regulars" that come into my thrift shop.  I see enough of them when I am working.  And they are always really nosing about what I am buying.  Ticks me off!
