Here's something I was thinking this afternoon while strolling back to the office from a thrift store:

Have you ever seen someone while out thrifting that made your heart skip a beat?  Someone who stole your breath away?

No.  Not that I remember anyway, so I'd have to say No.

That is all.

I will catch sight of GB out of the corner of my eye when he's thrifting at the other end of the store and think, "Wow, who's that hot guy?" before I realize it's him.  He still makes my heart skip a beat.   Kiss Kiss Cheesy

Ditto, except my quote is, "Wow, who's that hot chick!?".

Same here.  I'm usually too busy speed thrifting to really pay attention to others.

It would help if they let puppies into the stores!  I'll stop and take a second look at just about any dog... My favorite opening line (since you can't always get a look at the under carriage to determine gender) is... "Hello Good Looking!"

I am envious that Cookie can thrift with Good Buddy... either I am on my own, or The Big Guy drops me at the door and goes off to do something else!

I do wonder what kind of chaos would ensue if they let dogs into stores.  My dearly departed dog loved old sofas -- the messier, the better.  In her life, she'd fallen in love with a few very questionable pieces.  There's nothing like introducing your dog to a used peice of furniture!

Thriftily,
Alexandra

I can remember when I was a kid my rottie loved this hideous cream color sofa with these huge, ugly brown flowers on it, and the stuffing coming out of the corners.  It was unquestionably the dog's couch as I don't remember us actually sitting on the couch, unless to pet the dog.  I think she liked the sofa more due to its location though.  That couch was in the basement where it was cooler and a little quieter.  Also from that couch she could easily look up the stairs, see the front door and keep track of who was in and out.

She did have her own special spot on the couch upstairs as well though.  I remember once my grandmother came to visit and grandma unknowingly sat in the dog's spot (the center spot).  The dog stood in front of my grandmother and stared her down until she moved, then the dog assumed "her" spot on the couch.  I think the center position on the couch turned into the dog's by default.  There was no lamp there so reading at that spot was not practical, and since there was no armrest available to the center seat nobody really sat there.

I haven't seen any people who made my heart skip a beat but I've sure seen some items for sale that do!

Sometimes I will catch a sight of GB at of the corner of my eye and say "I better beat him to the albums and electronics" .

Me too! Especially if I have either or both of the kids with me! Cheesy

I don't notice people unless they smell. Undecided Either because they are whiffy or they are wearing TOO MUCH cologne/perfume. <gag>

So, Sprock, how about you? Wink

I have seen someone who made my heart skip a beat and I stopped breathing....but that was because he bent over and had a gun handle sticking out the back of his pants.  Shocked

I sure left that thrift shop in a hurry.

Does that count?? Grin
