...But I can't really tell. See, there's a "flea market" (note the quotes) a little away from me that I haven't been to in a couple years. It was always known as the Tri-County Flea Market. But now, apparently the whole thing's called Unique Bazaar, and there happens to be a Unique Thrift in it. Apparently there's a connection between the thrift store and the new ownership of the whole place.

As it turns out on Unique's site, there also seems to be a connection between Unique and Value Village. I don't know if Unique took Village over, they're rebranding, or what...but some of Unique's stores are branded as Value Village. Anyone confused about this as I am or am I just late to the party with this?  Huh

We have a Unique thrift in my area.  Usually pretty good prices, and the store is clean and relatively well organized.  I don't like the "bazaar"atmosphere where you have to walk through the people selling cheap made in china crap to get to the goodies.

We had a Unique Thrift at 7th Ave & Indian School, but then it turned into a Sally.  Funny thing, though - Unique's cash registers turned up at a different, independent thrift some time later - the imprinted name at the top of the register tape still showed Unique's address and Name!

This has got me thinking...  Man I want to make the 20 mile trek to Unique.  I haven't been in there in a while...  Shame I didn't get this bug yesterday when it was 25% off day.

As far as I know, Value Village is the name of the Canadian thrift store franchise associated with Savers (as it is known in the US) They also have stores in Australia.....
